About us

For almost 23 years, La Société de Contrôle D'animaux Domestiques Saint-Hubert inc. (S.C.D.D.) has been living up to its vocation of helping and protecting animals. We serve the needs of municipalities by picking up strays and dead animals and capturing wild animals. In addition, we offer shelter to all stray, lost, abandoned or injured cats and dogs. These cats and dogs have a chance to be claimed by their owners or to be adopted by a new family.

The S.C.D.D. was founded by Mr. Réal Légère in 1984. Since 1991, the society has been run by his son, Mr. Gilles Légère.

S.C.D.D.'s services cover several municipalities south of the island of Montreal: Beloeil, Carignan, Chambly, Greenfield Park, MarieVille, McMasterville, Otterburn Park, Saint-Antoine-sur-le-Richelieu, Ste-Julie, St-Amable, St-Lambert, St-Basile Le Grand, St-Bruno, St-Hilaire, Saint-Hubert, St-Marc sur le Richelieu, St-Mathias, St-Mathieu de Beloeil, St-Rémi, Varennes.
